Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Desktop Support Technician is to provide technical support for all global Calabrio employees including troubleshooting of Macs, PCs, printers, and software applications. This position will also be responsible for setup and onboarding of new employees, equipment upgrades for existing employees as well as decommissioning of workstations as needed.

What you'll being doing:

  • Provides technical support, responds, and completes help desk tickets as submitted by end-users.
  • Setup and onboarding of new employees including accounts, hardware, and software.
  • Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of user PCs.
  • Test and install computer hardware and software applications.
  • Interface with third party vendors to resolve certain hardware or software issues.
  • Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources.
  • Develop and maintain required end user documentation.
  • Performs hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing hardware, software, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Support printers, audiovisual and peripherals

  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with internal co-workers, and personnel of all levels.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software computer problems
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate workload, set priorities and plan and organize to complete work on a timely basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or an associate degree and 1-2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with exceptional customer service skills required.
