As an Accountable Lead you play a very important role for Klarna. You set the direction and drive consistent delivery by enabling the team to have a complete focus on operational excellence and solving problems for our internal/ external customers. You are responsible for team performance, deliveries and maintaining solid processes which is key for the success of Klarna. As a leader you are also accountable for the conditions and environment your team operates in.High-level responsibilities
  • Coordinate what the team does, make sure the team is aligned, works well together, and delivers accurately and consistently
  • Ensure operational excellence. Challenge and drive the team to deliver both with speed and quality. Identify blockages and prioritise actions
  • Actively manage risks within the team’s problem space and plan amp; prepare to overcome incidents
  • Know why and how we do things at Klarna and can answer questions on the way we work and what we want to achieve
  • Ensure awareness of the regulatory framework connected to the team’s problem space and act in accordance with both internal and external regulations
  • End-to-end responsible for team results (the quality amp; delivery of your product/service) including cooperation and coordination with all teams and stakeholders needed
  • Ensure speed, flow, team motivation and efficiency by adhering to Klarna’s team practices
  • Coach and provide regular feedback to the team and team members
Team scope:
  • Responsible for high volume general ledger accounts reconciliation and settlement monitoring: Bank /SAP S4; Intersystem; PSP/ SAP S4
  • Being first responders to identify incidents and highlight technical issues; escalate and resolve unidentified variances
  • Control and monitor new cash flows related to technical and operational processes to sustain the high quality of Klarna's payment products and compliant cash-flow
  • The link between Finance, Service Center, and Engineering competencies
  • Progressively improve technical and operational processes ultimately leading to better risk control and scalability; being the key responsible to test the new markets settlement flows
  • Find opportunities for ongoing automation of reconciliations and discrepancy alerts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • 5+ years of experience in a major company or division of a large corporation. Finance or banking experience is extra meriting.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, basic coding skills are a plus (SQL, VBA).
  • Applicable work experience in a high-pace environment and willingness to have a diverse set of tasks and responsibilities
  • Excellent track record of assessing, developing and implementing internal controls
  • Proven experience building, developing, mentoring and inspiring a high performing professional finance team
