We are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer that will help ensure that?our?products run effectively and securely?so that our clients can receive maximum value from Sinch’s?products and services. We are working on a multicloud solution with AWS and Azure.
The essence of the role
As a Cloud Security Engineer you will strengthen our Public Cloud Infrastructure team. Our mission is to develop, automate, maintain and operate our cloud infrastructure and adapt to ever-changing business requirements, assist our development and support teams while focusing on continuous delivery of service. Our mission is to maintain and meet the requirement changes related to public cloud. You will maintain and develop our AWS, Azure and virtualized infrastructure with regards to security.
You will be working hands-on with primary AWS and Azure security operations and align with other stakeholders within and outside the team. You will be involved in, and drive improvements in our scaling multi-cloud environment to make sure that we design environments that align with security best practices. You will be a key player in delivering world-class services to our customers.
Today the team handles virtual servers, database clusters, Kubernetes and Docker swarm clusters for both our production and internal platforms.
As our new Cloud Security Engineer you will be responsible for
As our new Cloud Security Engineer, you will be working in a collaborative environment where everyone can learn from each other.
To succeed in this role, you need to know variety of best practice tools and methods such as cybersecurity software, threat modelling and risk assessments to detect and analyze threats. Good knowledge of security fundamentals such as the concepts of Identity and Access Management, ACLs, principle of least privilege, types of vulnerability, etc. Good knowledge of product security/security testing/penetration testing/vulnerability detection and remediation. Actively participate in compliance audits, vulnerability reviews and assessments. You will work closely with DevOps, Architects, Developers and QA to build highly reliable and secure products on the cloud. You will be responsible for the security assessment of infrastructure, database and applications, setting up processes and guidelines.

Most of the team is based in Stockholm and Kalmar. Due to the situation, we are open to working remote, as long as you are open to work accordingly to our CET timezone and want to relocate to Sweden in the future. Travelling is required about 2 weeks each year for meetings with the team.
