The essence of the role You will be part of the RTC (Real Time Communications) division within Sinch where we offer clients Voice, Video and Verification services. Some of the biggest brands in the world use our tools and investments are being allocated to the RTC division which is growing fast. As an Operations Engineer you will be part of the RTC Product Operations team that is responsible for ensuring quality within our RTC product offerings. This includes troubleshooting, monitoring, configuration, analysis and much more! We are an expanding international team located in in offices in Sinch HQ Stockholm, San Francisco and Singapore.As our new Operations Engineer you will:
  • Ensure RTC customers are getting the best performance possible.
  • Ensure that we achieve top quality
  • Detect, investigate, and troubleshoot/resolve customer/provider issues and escalate when needed.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Sinch back-end systems to ensure continuous quality.
  • Investigate escalated tickets from the support team.
  • Have expert knowledge in RTC products and platforms.
  • Identify needs for tools the support team need to solve issues themselves, first line.


Who are you?

In order to contribute to this role you have:

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a relevant technical role or as a 2nd or 3rd line support engineer
  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Some experience from SQL or other databases
  • A personality that is learning oriented, communicative and analytical.

Big plus!

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have:

  • Work experience in relevant industry such as telecoms
  • Previous experience with PSTN Telephony, SIP, Messaging.
  • Experience in application monitoring (like Datadog, Elasticsearch) and trouble ticketing systems (like Jira).
