About Tech at Trustly:
Trustly is a tech company at heart. Two of our three founders are developers and you’ll get the chance to work alongside many talented and motivated colleagues who will help you learn and grow. We mainly use Java, PostgreSQL and Javascript and focus heavily on open source technologies.The Tech team is one of the fastest growing teams in the company. We are currently about 115 people and are divided into 20 engineering teams.
About the role:
The Head of Data Services at Trustly will lead the Data Services team within our tech organization. You will own the roadmap for the function of providing data to the business, engineering and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive priority and initiatives. You will have the opportunity to drive and nourish the data culture within a fast-growing company and enable training and education sessions for our skilled engineers.What you'll do:- Build and maintain a roadmap for infrastructure and engineering to build and maintain data storage and delivery services such as a data lake, related toolset and metadata catalog.
- Lead and direct a team of data engineers and data scientists focused on delivering data for a data driven companyon a day to day basis.
- Own budget, staff and delivery for the function.
- Act as a point of contact and ambassador for data and data driven decision making within Trustly.
- Push the data driving agenda and focus.
Who you are:- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong practical experience and understanding of providing data for a company, including knowledge about data lakes, cloud technologies (Google Cloud in particular) and modern data infrastructure.
- Strong overall knowledge of information systems, GDPR and compliance related to the area of data driven companies.
- Customer oriented mindset.
