Ombori Apps is hiring a Developer Advocate to work in Sweden, UK or remotely.
What does Ombori Apps do?
We are creating the leading platform to power digital experiences in physical spaces. We are bringing the power and flexibility of the online world into the physical world, helping our clients to create smart stores, smart cities, and smart spaces.
We created Ombori Grid, a fully developed, easily integrated and scalable SaaS platform which enables us and our partners to rapidly build, deploy, and manage a wide range of customizable solutions.
We bridge a wide range of IoT devices, AI and machine learning powered cognitive services with touch screens and mobile phones to create solutions that are memorable, easy to use, and delight our customers.
Our mission is to transform the way people shop, visit, and enjoy leisure time.

What will you be doing?
In this role, you will create impact by shaping smooth onboarding experience for Ombori Grid platform users, building community around the platform and promoting our product through variety of channels.
Your role will involve the following:
- Connecting with Ombori partners and teams that use Ombori Grid
- Creating content in a wide range of mediums, including tutorials, screencasts, demos and articles
- Writing and keeping documentation up to date
- Providing others with means and knowledge to work with Ombori Grid
- Collecting feedback to influence product development
- Implementing code examples and working on proofs of concept
- Occasionally travelling and representing Ombori at official events (after restrictions are dropped)
Requirements
Are you the right fit?
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience in a similar role.
- Programming skills. You need hands-on experience that includes full lifecycle of software development, preferably with JavaScript and Node.
- Hardware and IoT interest. Understanding of hardware and IoT related concepts will be important.
- Extraordinary communication and people skills. You will need to be fluent in both written and spoken English. You will also need to be comfortable working with colleagues and clients for whom English is not a primary language. You will need to be comfortable with public speaking.
- Proactivity and creativity. Thinking and acting ahead as well as finding creative solutions.
- Ability to travel on occasion. You will represent Ombori at different events.
We’d love it if you also had the following:
- Cloud. Familiarity with Azure cloud platform and/or understanding of other cloud platform providers will be helpful.
- Publicity. Active presence in developer community like OpenSource contribution, blogs and events.
