The role
As a software engineer in the Platform team you will balance between a birds eye view of our applications as well as diving deep into technical issues when needed. The Platform team is often in charge of prototyping and implementing new technologies, so no two weeks are the same. In collaboration with colleagues you will work to improve our systems, tools and processes to simplify for the development teams implementation and deployment of new functionality.
The role is very independent and your support will be provided through automation using building systems, pipelines and refactoring of existing code. If you also have an interest in new scalable technologies, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka and NoSQL databases you will really enjoy working with us.
The platform team enables support for deploying our applications to a variety of locations, such as: Openstack on-prem, AWS, our in-house data centers etc.
Tech stack: Java, Gradle/Maven, Jenkins, IntelliJ, Kubernetes/Docker, MySQL/MemSQL, Couchbase, Groovy, Linux, Bash
Requirements
The number of years of working experience is of minor importance, but we expect you to be skilled and interested in improving existing systems.
- Academic education in the IT field or equivalent education
- Previous experience of scalable web applications
- Excellent communication skills in English
- We operate in a mixed Linux environment in our data centers and AWS so knowledge, or interest, in these environments is simply said, very good
- You are passionate about what you do and keep up to date on best practices in your areas of expertise.
Due to the pandemic, and the difficulties of relocating, we wish that you are located in Sweden, and have a valid work permit, when applying for this position.
